The scholarship program will award scholarships to qualified candidates from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam to enable them to pursue 2-year science-based master’s degrees in fields (areas of research) such as:
- Land use planning and management for the uplands
- Sustainable upland agriculture and development
- Human nutrition for upland household communities
- Food science and technology
- Post-harvest technology
- Environmental science and management
- Agroforestry/community forestry
- Crop-livestock production farming systems
- Watershed management
- Disaster risk management for the uplands
- Other related fields
